Meet Jerry Ayer, world renowned taxidermist, replication and fabrication artist. Best known as 'The Deergineer'. Jerry has a career spanning over 3 decades, and with over 7,000 whitetail deer mounted, the Deergineer offers an expertise and quality that discriminating clients appreciate. Jerry's respect and high quality standards in the industry has led to a client list that includes celebrities, pro athletes, corporate CEO’s, museums, Bass Pro and Cabela's stores.

  Jerry’s experience in the industry started out with his love and passion of the outdoors. Being an avid fisherman, he found it in his best interest to learn how to mount his own catch. That led him to attend one of the best taxidermy school's in the country. He was recognized as such an exceptional student that the owner, immediately upon graduation, made him his assistant. Jerry continued at the school for two years and left to open 'Blanco Taxidermy' in Blanco Texas. In those early years, Jerry always had an unmatched drive and passion to continue to learn and excel to be the best in his field. He continued on to open his own Taxidermy school and quickly became recognized by the television industry with requests to do special effects work for Emmy award winning TV shows. This opened the door for Jerry to expand his business in fabrication and replication, obtaining the best high performance molding rubbers and casting polymers, straight from Hollywood's special effects companies. Jerry's expertise in the industry has made him highly sought after. He was hired on in 2020 by Los Cazadores to train their team of taxidermists. Today he focus' his work mainly on fabrication and replication, taking on minimal taxidermy. He currently also works closely with the Science Mill Museum in Johnson City Texas displaying his own personal pieces to promote conservation through education.
